Introduction

If you are wondering what exactly eco-clothing is I will tell you. It is clothing made from either organic materials or recycled goods. Now a days fabric can be created from organic cotton, bamboo, banana fiber, hemp, indigo, wool and even bottle tops and aluminum cans to name a few. Organic fabric means that the plant or fiber used in creating a fabric did not use any chemicals or pesticides in the process of transforming it into the fabric. Besides from plants and animals recycled fabric can be made from almost anything. A popular fashion trend using recycled materials is in jewelry, designers use either old jewelry or scraps of fabric to create a new modern piece of jewelry. There are millions of trends being created in environmentally friendly ways that you don't need to look like you went searching through the trash to find your outfit.

  1. Love your blog so far! The about me provides us with a good sense of who you are. I like reading fashion blogs already, and really like that fashion can be eco friendly too. I don't know much about it so I'm looking forward to reading. The description is really good too. The first few posts are great, perhaps adding some pictures would enhance it even more.

  2. 1. Did the About Me provide a clear and interesting description of who the author is, and why they are writing this blog? If so, how was this accomplished? If not, how could it be improved?

I think your about me was clear, and it explained your purpose well. You did this by explaining why you’re interested in your blog topic, and what you plan on doing with your blog. A lot of people have assumptions about “going green” fashion-wise; it’ll be interesting to see you prove them wrong.

    2. Did the description sum up the blog in such a way as to accurately inform you about its purpose and focus? If so, how was this accomplished? If not, how could it be improved?

Your description summed up your blog well—you plan on showing people how to be eco-friendly while still being fashionable.

    3. Does the first post present an interesting "jumping off point" for the blog that both introduces you to the content and style of the blog, while making you want to come back for more? If so, how was this accomplished? If not, how could it be improved?

I read both of your posts, and I think you’re off to a great start! I like how you explained eco-clothing and the various types of fabric. I had no idea clothing could be made out of aluminum cans! Your second post spoke of reusable totes, which I think is also a good starting off point—reusable totes are being used everywhere, and you can often buy them anywhere. I’m looking forward to seeing what you write about next!
